You Can Help
we are stronger when we are together
Thanet Iceberg is always looking for people to help us as we help individuals and households across Thanet to combat the causes of poverty whilst overcoming its symptoms. We are often asked, “What can I do, I don’t have very much to offer?” Our answer is always the same. ” To visit The Kitchen CT9 and enjoy a coffee with a friend is just as helpful as working a shift a week in the furniture warehouse. Always and in all ways together we can make a difference across the whole of Thanet.”
How You Can Help
Use us/Tell others
One of the easiest ways for you to help us is to become a customer. Visit The Kitchen CT9 for breakfast or lunch or simply pop in to grab a coffee. You could invite a friend and meet them for a chat.
The other way to help is to follow us on social media & to share our posts. Sign up for the newsletter & then share that on. Word of mouth is the best form of advertising and you can be an advocate for us.
Volunteers are the lifeblood of the organisation. From answering the phones and chatting with people through to working in the furniture warehouse or waiting on tables, we have a role for everybody. Learn new skills, meet new friends, have a great time: Volunteering ticks all the boxes. Find out how you can help us to make an impact across the whole of the Isle of Thanet.
Free at the point of use does not mean that there is no cost to a service. In order to run the whole project, as well as earning revenue through The Kitchen CT9 we need to raise over £100,000 per year through donations and fundraising. Payroll giving, one off contributions or sponsored events all help us reach our targets. How can you help?
